Cry Club video interview

Cry Club is a Naarm-based pop-punk duo, known for their brash genre-bending sound, and distinct aesthetic.

Since their debut in 2018, the group has been steadily releasing new music while evolving their sound. Their recent single “High Voltage Anxiety” expertly blends the heavy sounds of distorted guitars with detailed production and digital breakbeats to create a glitchy punk anthem. This aesthetic carries through to other releases, such as their most recent single “For Your Health”.

Coda Culture was lucky enough to sit down for an interview with the guitarist of the band, Jonathon Tooke, to take a look at the ProTools session for their track “High Voltage Anxiety”.

This interview provides insight into the band’s writing process, creative mix decisions, and vocal sound for the song.
